'Cheong-Wa-Dae', or 'The Blue House', is the office where the president of South Korea works and lives. However, The Blue House has been recognized to contain many problems in terms of its image and function. Even though Korea has experienced Independence from Japan and democratization, the office of the president still resembles a fortress, secured by numerous boundaries and guards. Recently, as people want the Blue House to be opened more to the public, there are some movements that try to bring the site back to people. For the natural shift in terms of paradigm and the city, the project scrutinizes current problems that the Blue House has and tries to propose the best solution. Also, the project focuses on the Blue House's boundaries and categorizes them into four main typologies; functional, physical, psychological, and urban. With the remarkable strategies, the project tries to blur the boundaries gradually, expecting the Blue House to be naturally absorbed into the city.
