One of the urgent social issues in Korea is the lack of housing in Seoul. The rising land price and population density of Seoul have already reached an excessive state, displacing people from middle and low-level to suburban areas. Unfortunately, several attempts by the government haven’t worked efficiently. The project suggests affordable and accessible social housing in the center of Seoul, beyond the existing layer that belongs to the industrial and business district. Furthermore, the project expects a remarkable synergy that can be created along with waterfront, Cheonggaecheon. By overlaying housing blocks upon the city, an inactive stream can be regenerated and work as an outstanding environment for the residents.
