Inspired by the three core principles of the Horti - nature, art and community - the design extends these ideas into newly articulated spaces while maintaining a harmonious relationship with the existing architecture. The proposed additions avoid overwhelming or compromising the historic fabric, instead employing minimal intervention strategies to celebrate the existing building and its surrounding natural environment. A translucent, curtain-like enclosure serves as a mediating layer, preserving the integrity of the historic structure while creating a subtle dialogue between the old and the new.
